Statement On The Impact Of Covid-19 On BCCGB Events

Issued 1 June 2020

Based upon the Kennel Club’s latest guidance, BCCGB committee has reviewed all of our planned events for the remainder of 2020. We are sure it will come as no surprise to anyone that we have some cancellations to announce, but we wanted to be able to offer some good news and give our supporters something to look forward to. We hope that you will support us in any and all of the following.

OPEN SHOW
This has been rescheduled to Saturday 20 March 2021, the day before our Ch Show; we hope that this will give everyone a weekend to look forward to. In addition, to ease the financial impact to the exhibitor, we will be providing a free buffet lunch to all; breakfast will be available to purchase at the usual excellent prices.

Catering at the Ch show will be as usual with hot food etc for sale.

PUPPY & VETERAN OF THE YEAR
These events have been cancelled. However, we will be providing commemorative rosettes for all Puppy of the Year qualifiers, up to the curtailment of shows.

PHOTO COMPETITION
This is not affected by Covid-19 restrictions so it will take place as usual; keep a look out for the launch later this year.
Money raised will be donated to StreetVet, so we hope everyone will support it generously.

YEAR BOOK 2021
Staying connected has never been more important than now, and to this end we will be producing a yearbook despite the lack of shows. We hope that as many of you as possible will continue to take adverts to support the publication.

HERDING DAY
This will not take place this year, but we hope to be back up & herding in 2021.

We hope that our announcements have given you something positive to take out of these unprecedented times we find ourselves in, and something to look forward to.
In the meantime, stay safe, and we will see you soon.
